Feb. 13 -- What is the answer when it comes to satisfying sex lives for women?

From couples searching for satisfaction, to scientists searching for a female equivalent of Viagra, to young women searching for sexual empowerment at exclusive parties and private classes, 20/20 takes a close look at a complicated issue.

The Race for a Little Pink Pill

Viagra revolutionized sex for men. Now scientists and drug companies are in a frenzied race to find an equivalent solution for women. One little pill could be one enormous blockbuster. Last year Viagra made $1.5 billion for Pfizer. No wonder the dream now is to find the one drug a little Pink Pill that could boost female sexuality.

20/20 goes behind the scenes to check out the cutting-edge labs with the hottest drugs, sprays, gels and creams in development. This is access that has never been provided to television cameras, and testing which has never been seen before.

Various studies have shown that some 25 percent to 40 percent of women suffer from Female Sexual Dysfunction. 20/20 will look at the many factors that can contribute to low libido in women, including drugs many women rely on, like the birth control pill, antihistamines and antidepressants. Barbara Walters begins the discussion of why the problem is so vast.
