After a night of drinking and dancing, the best friends left the club at 3 a.m. One mile from Gorman's dorm, Rasdall's car veered off I-275 in St. Petersburg and hit an enormous tree, killing Gorman on impact. Both girls were wearing seatbelts. Rasdall recalls waking up in the car on the side of the road.

"I didn't know where I was, who I had been with, I couldn't remember anything. I saw somebody was sitting in my passenger seat. The person's face was turned away from me. I shook her arm. And deep down I knew the person next to me was dead," Rasdall told "20/20." (Courtesy of the Rasdall Family)
