Philippe Padieu was convicted in a Texas court of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for knowingly exposing multiple women to HIV. He was sentenced to 45 years in prison. For years, however, women knew him as a charming companion, a confidant whom they never suspected of having other girlfriends -- or of carrying a dark secret.
