June 28, 2013— -- With her 13 hour filibuster, Wendy Davis managed to stop the passage of SB 5 (for now), which would impose extensive abortion restrictions across the state of Texas.

While the longest filibuster to date was done by US Senator Strom Thurman and lasted over 24 hours, 13 hours is nothing to sneeze at. In order to pay tribute to State Senator Davis' accomplishment, we here at Fusion decided to take the Stand Like Wendy Challenge.
