Last week, Worthington family friends came forward on Jack's mother's behalf to speak with "20/20," including Lanny Vlasak.

"I think she's probably very much embarrassed, and I know that she hasn't responded to inquiries," Vlasak said. "And I think probably the reason is when she does, she's going to brand her son as a liar and a fraud, and I don't think she wants to do that."

But now she has. A family statement says that Worthington's claims are "unequivocally false and have been fabricated," that Evelyn never met JFK and never told her son JFK was his father. (ABC News)
