Ardeshir Hassanpour dies, possibly becoming the first Iranian nuclear scientist killed in the covert war. The Iranian government reports that Ardeshir Hosseinpour died of accidental "gas poisoning," but conflicting Western reports state that Hosseinpour was killed because he worked in a nuclear research lab.
