In 1910, General Motors' Cadillac Model 30 was the world's first mass-produced closed-body car. Before the Model 30, most cars didn't have a windshield or a roof. By 1920, closed bodies were available on virtually all cars and trucks. At the time, with its 4-cylinder, 30 horsepower engine, the car ran about $1,600. (Courtesy GM)
