75th Aniversary of the Repeal of Prohibition
Today marks the 75th anniversary of the end of Prohibition. So to celebrate, raise up your glass, have a drink and enjoy these photos from another time when it was a lot harder -- but not impossible -- to get a drink.
Patrons enjoying drinks at the Hunt Club in 1933. The speakeasy had a filing system listing its 23,000 eligible customers which was checked before a customer gets through the door to protect it from police prohibition raids.
