The Waterwood Estate, on 160 acres by Lake Erie, is the most expensive property in Northeast Ohio. The $19.5 million estate was built in 1991 in Vermilion for Donald Brown, the inventor of the drop ceiling, and his wife, Shirley, who both died in a plane crash in January 2010.
