"Ruby Roman" grapes are shown at Kanazawa central wholesale market on July 5, 2014 in Kanazawa, Ishikawa, Japan.???? A wedding hall operator bought the grapes at auction for 550,000 yen or $5,400. Japan's public broadcaster NHK reported the 30 grapes weighed some 800 grammes, or 28 ounces. The red-skin grape can be as big as about 1.2 inches in diameter. Costing around $180 a pop, the grapes will be served at the wedding hall in Kanazawa, central Ishikawa.
