Godfather of Soul Up for Sale
The James Brown Collection went on the auction block Thursday at Christie's Auction House in New York. The collection included more than 320 lots from the Godfather of Soul's South Carolina Home, from his famed jumpsuits to his numerous awards.

At left, a blue satin cape embroidered with "Thy Name Is Godfather of Soul" and rhinestones, sequin and metallic embellishments. It sold for $35,000, about twice as much as expected.
