Casino company MGM Mirage said Tuesday that the president of tourism lobbying group Nevada Resort Association, Bill Bible, will join the company's board.
Bible will resign from the tourism group to avoid any conflict of interest, MGM said.
Previously, Bible was chairman of the Nevada State Gaming Control Board. He has also served in several state government posts.
MGM is based in Las Vegas. Shares rose 7 cents to close at $11.54.
