EAST
— New York-Boston: Coastal container service eases I-95 truck traffic.

MIDWEST
— Detroit-Windsor, Ontario: Truck ferry service eases traffic on I-96, which connects U.S. to Canada.
— Great Lakes Services: Dry, liquid and general cargoes run between various points on lakes Erie, Superior, Michigan, Ontario and Huron.
WEST
— Tacoma, Wash.-Alaska: Coastal container runs avoid a 2,400-mile truck route up Interstate 5 and through Canada, and serve remote communities that are unreachable by road or rail.
SOUTH
— Houston-Pascagoula, Miss: Container service along the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway eases traffic on I-10 and other roads.
— Port Manatee, Fla.-Brownsville, Texas: Container-barge service stops at points across the Gulf Coast.
