Home Depot to Offer 2 Trade-in Exchanges

Home Depot will offer Christmas Light and Power Drill trade-ins ahead of the holidays

Home-improvement retailer Home Depot Inc. will offer two exchanges ahead of the holiday season, for holiday lights and power drills.

From Sunday to Nov. 8, Home Depot will accept used or broken power drills in exchange for 15 percent off a new drill with a longer-lasting lithium-ion battery. Home Depot will recycle the old drill.

On Nov. 5, Home Depot will begin its second annual Christmas light trade-in. Customers can bring old or non-working Christmas lights and get a $3 off coupon toward new energy-efficient LED string lights.

Customers should purchase their LED lights between Nov. 5 and Nov. 15 and are limited to five redemptions.

The exchanges are taking place at all of Home Depot's U.S. stores.

Home Depot operates 2,242 stores around the globe. Shares fell 45 cents to close at $26.26 Friday.
