It's a new year, and there's a new round of rumors about who might be cast in the upcoming "50 Shades of Grey" film. Last week, "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" star Krysten Ritter said she's "down" to take on the role of the young, sex-crazed Anastasia Steele.

In response to a fan who tweeted about rumors that Ritter was being considered for the part, Ritter responded, "Thanks! i would be down. ;)"

While the film's producers, Michael DeLuca and Dana Brunetti, the same folks behind "The Social Network," haven't weighed in on the actors they see as Christian Grey and Anastasia, more than a few A-listers have joined Ritter in offering themselves up for consideration:

Channing Tatum

Last summer, the Sexiest Man of the Year said he'd be down to suit up as Christian Grey. Asked by the U.K. edition of Glamour magazine if he'd star in the big screen version of E.L. James' hit trio of books, he replied, "(1) Yes. (2) I'd only be allowed if my wife was Ana. She's read the books, so I don't think she'd be impressed if she couldn't be Ana!"

Things might have changed now that Tatum and his wife, actress Jenna Dewan-Tatum, are expecting their first child. In December, Tatum also said that he's shifting his focus from acting to directing, at least for a little while. "I love the steps that I've taken acting-wise. That has been a wild sort of exploration," he told Entertainment Weekly. "But I don't want to just keep putting [directing] off for these fun and incredible opportunities."

Ian Somerhalder

In May, the "Vampire Diaries" actor told MTV News playing the billionaire tycoon would be "an amazing thing": "One interesting thing is, by the virtue of playing Damon [his 'Vampire Diaries' character] for now a few years, [he's] 170 plus years old, in love with an 18 year old, I officially have a lot of experience seducing younger women. I'm not saying, I'm just saying."

Lucy Hale

On the red carpet of the MTV Movie Awards, the "Pretty Little Liars" actress said she's game to play Ana. "I just finished the first book," she said. "I'm speechless. ... I think every girl on the carpet wants to play [Anastasia Steele]. That would be freaking awesome. I'm really curious to see how they're going to turn it into a film."

Ashley Benson

Lucy Hale has some competition from her "Pretty Little Liars" co-star, Ashley Benson. Benson told Celebuzz, "I've read every book. I want to play Anastasia." While Benson's fans think she should play Kate, Anastasia's best friend, the actress' mind is set. "Kate is awesome," she said. "I like all the characters, but Anastasia? I love her so much!"

Alexander Skarsgard

"Where do I sign?," the "True Blood" star when "Access Hollywood" asked him about starring in the movie. "He's got a sex chamber? My character [Eric Northman] has that on 'True Blood.' He's got his little dungeon. I was born to play that part."

Chris Pine

Pine got "50 Shades" fans buzzing in April after saying playing Christian would be a "hell of a choice for me." The "Star Trek" star clarified his comments in a June interview with Celebuzz. "I don't know anything about it other than I know many women that are reading the novels, and enjoy them very much," he said. "If it's a good script ... I'd take a look at it, but I don't know anything other than that."

Emma Roberts

Though she hasn't read E.L. James' trilogy, the "Scream 4" actress is interested in playing Ana. "I haven't read it, I don't even understand, but yeah, it sounds awesome," she told MTV News in June. "Anything racy, hot. Sure, let's get hot."
