Hollywood's hottest celebs don this season's new trends.

April 16, 2008 — -- Fashion-forward Hollywood starlets have officially declared spring on the red carpet.

Winter wardrobes of formal and stuffy grays and blacks are out as celebs mark this season with eye-popping warm colors and cool, flowing maxi dresses.

Colors range from soft metallics and ombre dyes to coral and rain forest prints. This spring's fashion ranges from casual to romantic flares.

Maxi dresses are in the spotlight this season where ladies look effortlessly elegant in full-length modesty. Stylish and toned celebs look as if they're ready for a resort getaway with Bohemian long dresses that have twists of exotic beach-inspired patterns. But we're also seeing some of Hollywood's hottest claiming the status of a Greek goddess with variations of silky tunics and sensual strapless robes.

And let's not forget the accessories -- whether the stars glam their hair up or down, warm weather also brings out colorful necklaces, bracelets and sandals with bejeweled accents.

In the Sarasota sunset, Charlize Theron epitomizes the look of a Greek goddess with this shimmery, peach full-length Ferretti number. Theron was at the Sarasota Film Festival's 10th anniversary ball, receiving not only an award but also promoting longtime boyfriend Stuart Townsend's film "Battle in Seattle."

Anyone would be a fool to not notice Kate Hudson stealing the show at the premiere of her new film, "Fool's Gold," in London. Hudson flaunted an off-the-shoulder beautifully fitted Galliano dress. She looked stunning in the silky turquoise-green dress accentuated with gold embroidery and kimono sleeves.

Renee Zellweger sizzled the "Leatherheads" red carpet in New York with a single-shoulder form-fitting radiant red dress. A signature favorite for the actress, Zellweger often wears timeless gowns designed by Carolina Herrera. Just a few weeks earlier at the London opening, Zellweger stepped out in a gorgeous strapless plum purple Marchesa cocktail dress. Form-fitted, the stunning satin dress had floral details along the bodice.

"Idol" to Grammy award-winning songstress Carrie Underwood looked whimsical in a sparkling Betsey Johnson baby doll dress for her performance at the Country Music Television (CMT) awards. On the red carpet, she caught everyone's attention with a royal blue Badgley Mischka single-shoulder dress. A few weeks ago, Underwood dazzled the charity event, "Idol Gives Back," with an effervescent gold metallic Farah Angsana gown.

Looking all grown up, Miley Cyrus wore a Bohemian-inspired blue and green print halter dress with plunging neckline during her duet performance with her dad at the Country Music Television (CMT) awards. Earlier on the red carpet, Cyrus arrived at in a floral Roberto Cavalli maxi dress. The 'Hanna Montana' teen sensation displayed a more mature fashion sense at the awards show.

Leading actress Nicole Kidman accompanied her husband, musician Keith Urban, to the CMT awards. The newly expectant mom graced the red carpet with a fitted Yves Saint Laurent red jersey gown with a weave-patterned front.

Pop diva "Fergie" Stacy Ann Ferguson was honored at the ASCAP's 25th annual Pop Music Awards at the Kodak Theater. Fergie looked tanned and relaxed in a halter-style, leaf-print silk chiffon BCBG dress with an empire waist sash.

Beyond her golden glow, could there be more news to follow her recent engagement? One can only speculate as new mom Nicole Richie also rocked a Missoni maxi dress at the awards event.

Vanessa Williams also looked like a Grecian goddess at this year's Lincoln Center Spring Gala. With an exquisite embroidered neckline and light olive green chiffon, her dress would even make Aphrodite take a second look. Williams was one of the many celebrity arts and culture socialites attending the tribute to Disney's Robert Iger.

"Veronica Mars" actress Kristen Bell breaks onto the silver screen with the much anticipated film, "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." Bell took to the tropics-themed event with her strapless vibrant blue and white Polynesian-inspired ombre tie gown designed by Jenni Kayne. Tropical, Mediterranean and beach-inspired kitschy prints are the hottest designs for maxi dresses. Bell also added elegance with a gorgeous Bulgari gold charm necklace.

The leading ladies of "Sex and the City" -- Cynthia Nixon, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis -- always look fashionable together. Parker and Cattrall took sexy to silky chic in soft metallic gowns by Yves Saint Lauren and Doo.Ri, accented with draped jewelry and cowl neckline, respectively. Nixon and Davis took a sophisticated approach with classic black dresses by Calvin Klein and Louis Vuitton.

"Laguna Beach" reality television hottie Kristin Cavallari wore a soft red strapless gown laced with ruffles at the premiere of Fox Searchlight's "Street Kings." Cavallari, who recently turned 21, keeps her style simple and her teen fans dazzled.

Actresses Elizabeth Hurley and Gwyneth Paltrow looked stunning in pink as they attend the Breast Cancer Foundation's Hottest Pink Party in New York. While Hurley brings out the ethnic beauty of a sari, Paltrow, rocks out a strapless vintage Dior. Pink has a dual purpose at this event and these women know how to pull the color off for the season.
