British group Coldplay was nominated in the three top Grammy categories of record, album and song of the year -- all for its hit album "Viva La Vida" Dec. 3, 2008. The Grammy awards will be held Feb. 8, 2009. For the first time, nominations in key catagories were announced during a one-hour concert television special instead of a news conference.
