It's no secret that many movie stars harbor dreams of becoming rock stars. While some try their luck in the music industry, other stars live out their dreams onscreen. Whether they are secret rock stars or not, these actors have tweaked their tunes to play some rocking roles!

Actor Joaquin Phoenix was nominated for an Oscar in 2006 for his role as singer Johnny Cash, at right, in "Walk the Line." The two-time Oscar nominee recently announced that he will end his film career and focus on his music. "I want to take this opportunity. ... Also to give you the exclusive and just talk a little bit about the fact that this will be my last performance as an actor. ... I'm not doing films anymore," he told "Extra." Phoenix's latest film is "Two Lovers," which also stars Gwyneth Paltrow.
