Woody's Magical Muses

In what is unfolding like a dream come true, "Slumdog Millionaire" actress Freida Pinto is set to star in filmmaker Woody Allen's upcoming untitled project, joining the long list of Allen muses. Pinto will star with Naomi Watts, Josh Brolin and Anthony Hopkins in the film. Before landing the role of Latika in "Slumdog," Pinto modeled in Mumbai and auditioned for Bollywood films. The tides are now turning for Pinto.

Woody Allen, who was born Allen Konigsberg, is an award winning filmmaker. Many of his films, including "Manhattan," and "Hannah and Her Sisters" reflect the nuances of everyday life and intricacies of relationships. Allen often casts many of the same actresses in his projects, which have created some of the most memorable female characters on the big screen.
