Celebs We've Lost This Year
Eartha Kitt, who made the song "Santa Baby" a perennial Christmas hit, died Christmas Day 2008 after battling colon cancer. She was 81.
Kitt was also known for her trademark purr and her role as Catwoman in the original "Batman" television series.
