'America's Next Top Model' Ending Later This Year
"It's time," Tyra Banks said.
— -- Tyra Banks is done with discovering top models.
Her long-running series, "America's Next Top Model," will end with its current 22nd season, she announced Wednesday.
Banks, 41, wrote in a lengthy Instagram post, "I truly believe it's time."
"#ANTM brought the intimidating modeling world to the masses," she wrote. "We were the first reality show based in the fashion world. I never thought my little idea would have people everywhere thinking differently about how they take photos. And I never thought we'd do 22 cycles."
The series finale will air Friday, Dec. 4, which, Banks noted on Twitter, is her birthday.
"America's Next Top Model" premiered on the now-defunct UPN in 2003, before moving to the CW three years later.
Banks launched a new daytime talk show, "FABLife," last month.
