'How I Met Your Mother' Star Cobie Smulders Reveals Past Bout With Ovarian Cancer

— -- "Avengers: Age of Ultron" star Cobie Smulders is opening up about a serious health scare she had several years back.
The actress has revealed a past bout with ovarian cancer in the May issue of Women's Health.
Smulders, 33, said the cancer happened when she was 25 during season 3 of "How I Met Your Mother."
"I had tumors on both ovaries and the cancer had spread into my lymph nodes and surrounding tissues," she told the magazine.
The actress, a mother of two, said it took two years and multiple surgeries to remove the cancer.
"I don't think I'll ever feel like I'm cancer-free," she said. "Now that I'm five years out, I'm trying to think of it as a positive thing and what can I learn from it. And if I can create more awareness, I'll do it."
