Beauty Pageant Runner-Up Literally Ripped The Crown Off The Winner

— -- A contestant in a Brazil beauty pageant wasn't willing to take second place.

After Carol Toledo was crowned Miss Amazon, according to the Associated Press, runner-up Sheislane Hayalla stepped up front, snatched the tiara off Toledo's head and threw it on the ground.

Hayalla then stormed off stage, according to video of the incident, pausing to blow kisses and wave to the crowd.

While most of the other contestants looked shocked during Hayalla's dramatic exit, one woman continued to clap.

The pageant's offices did not immediately respond to ABC News' request for comment.
