Similarly, Shania Twain has found love again following a painful end to her first marriage to music producer Robert "Mutt" Lange, 62.
Twain recently opened up about how she confronted her husband about his having an affair with her best friend, which she told ABC's "Nightline" led to the end of her 14-year marriage. After learning of his reported betrayal, the five-time Grammy winner said she has developed dysphonia, a physical and physiological ailment that doesn't allow her to sing properly.
So, the 45-year-old singer has found a new way to make her voice heard, in part through her memoir, "From This Moment On," and also through a new reality series on the Oprah Winfrey Network called "Why Not? With Shania Twain."
Twain has also found love again, with her former best friend's ex-husband, Swiss businessman Frederic Thiebaud, whom she married in January.
The singer's new single, "Today Is Your Day," her first in years, sums up Twain's recovery from heartbreak. The lyrics, which Twain wrote are: "When somebody throws sticks and stones/All they can break are your bones/And life's gonna kick you around/And then kick you again when you're down/But today is your day/ And nothing can stand in your way."
Last week, Twain announced her return to the stage. She'll begin a two-year residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas beginning in December 2012.
