April 15, 2014 -- For years, Eva Longoria was starring in one of TV's most popular series.

At the same time, she was fulfilling another lifelong dream: earning her Masters degree in Chicano Studies from California State University, Northridge.

"When I was shooting 'Desperate Housewives,' I would go to night school," she told Ellen DeGeneres. "I'd be on set all day and then I'd be in full hair and makeup, running to class."

Now that the ABC drama has ended, she said that her schedule is more open. For the "Devious Maids" executive producer, 39, this means more time to travel to Mexico, where her businessman boyfriend, Jose Antonio Baston, lives. Though she declined to open up too much about their relationship, explaining that he's "super private," she did compliment his fashion sense.

"He's a very good dresser," she gushed. "I always have to step it up now! It's exhausting."
