1. Jewel Tone Hair
According to Jason Backe, the master colorist and co-owner of Ted Gibson Beauty in New York City, the pastel hair trend that made waves earlier this year is on its way out, and taking its place are brighter and bolder colors, from electric blues to fire-engine reds and flaming orange shades.
"People are shifting from soft pastels to really bold hues," Backe said. Reality TV star Kylie Jenner's new emerald hue is an example of the trend.
"Jewel tones can be a little more sophisticated and modern looking if you’re going for a bold color," said Backe.
