— -- Lo Bosworth’s friends and fellow reality show cast mates predicted big things for her life post-“Laguna Beach” – they forecast she’d be a “high executive businesswoman” with furs and jewels.

“I don’t know if I’m a high executive, but I’m my own boss,” Bosworth told ABC News with a laugh. “And the fur and jewels is on point.”

Bosworth, 28, recently re-launched her lifestyle site TheLoDown.com to focus on food, fashion and beauty.

“I’m working on the blog full-time. I have a team I work with. It’s exciting and fantastic to be in the driver’s seat and talk about what I care about and have people respond in such a positive way,” she said. “It’s overwhelmingly delightful for me and a great experience.”

It’s been a different path for the New York City resident, who thought she’d be a dermatologist growing up.

“I don’t think that anybody could have predicted the runaway success of ‘Laguna’ and ‘The Hills,” she said. “To be a senior in high school and imagine life as it is now … I could never imagine it. It’s crazy.”

Her interest in food originally came from her mother, which is what eventually led to her graduation from NYC’s International Culinary Center in June.

“I grew up cooking with my mom – she would make dinner from scratch almost every night of the week, and I’d come home from school and hang out with her, which is where my passion for cooking came from. And I love to eat--I’m a foodie all the way--and I realized it was something I wanted to share with the world,” Bosworth explained. “Going to culinary school was important for me because I knew there would be skeptics. I loved it. My skills have increased exponentially.”

Since graduating, she focuses her time on her site and recently became a spokesperson for Chobani--and she of course keeps up with her ‘Laguna’ girls.

“Lauren Conrad is still one of my good friends; I went to her wedding recently. And I stay in touch with Stephanie Pratt; she lives in London now,” she said. “I could never expect my life to look the way it does now. It’s stressful and beautiful and loving and I adore New York City. And to be able to cook for a living is so fantastic. It’s just a dream come true.”
