Sept. 5, 2013— -- Being married to an actor has its perks, Hugh Jackman's wife, Deborra-Lee Furness said recently.

"I like [Jackman] clean-shaven," she told Town & Country magazine in its October issue. "But I like him all ways: chubby, muscley, skinny. I'm always having affairs!"

It's clear Jackman, 44, is crazy for her too.

Still, "I decided, 'I won't ask her to marry me for six months,'" the "Wolverine" star said. "Then after four months I thought, 'That's the most ridiculous rule!'"

However, the couple said life wasn't perfect. They had trouble conceiving a child, and adoption in their native Australia can take five to 10 years. So, in 1999, they moved to Los Angeles, which proved to be a good decision, and not just professionally. In 2000, they adopted a newborn boy, and in 2005, a girl.

Now, Furness, a board member of Worldwide Orphans in Australia, is working to create a National Adoption Awareness Week.

"I'm working with Americans to create an international campaign to shine a light on the fact that there are 153 million orphans in the world," she said. "If that were a country, it would be the ninth-largest in the world, just ahead of Russia."
