'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay -- Part 2' Rules Thanksgiving Box Office

— -- Moviegoers didn't pass on leftovers at the box office during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

The reigning box office champ, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay -- Part 2," remained number one after earning $51.6 million from Friday through Sunday.

Two of the three new films that opened Wednesday performed well over the weekend. The Disney-Pixar movie "The Good Dinosaur" finished in second place, raising $39.2 million. (Disney also owns ABC News.)

The Rocky spin-off "Creed," starring Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone, made $30.1 million for a third-place debut.

Here are the top 10 movies from Friday through Sunday, with estimated ticket sales, according to Rentrak:
