Jason Aldean Defends His Relationship With Brittany Kerr

— -- For some time, critics have slammed Jason Aldean for dating Brittany Kerr.

He's tired of it, he said.

"It has been two years of this s***," he told Billboard magazine. "Get over it, already!"

Aldean was first photographed with the "American Idol" contestant in 2012, when he was still married to his wife of 12 years, Jessica Ussery. The next year, he and Ussery split, and he stepped out with Kerr again a few months later. The couple has weathered a great deal of criticism since then.

"I'm just trying to get people to stop running their mouths," he added.

In spite of the drama in the press, Aldean maintained that he's going to continue to be himself, even if that means appearing without a smile in magazines.

"I hope people feel like what you see is what you get with me. I don't try to be something I'm not," he said. "It's too much work to try to be something else."
