Sept. 14, 2010— -- Is Jenny from the block moving on to "American Idol"?

Multiple reports claim Jennifer Lopez is the latest personality set to fill a judge's seat on the Fox reality competition series, which recently lost almost all of its top personalities -- Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi.

UsMagazine.com cited anonymous insiders as saying that "Idol" contracts are currently being signed by Lopez, fellow newcomer Steven Tyler and "Idol" veteran judge Randy Jackson. According to Us, an official announcement is expected in early October, before auditions begin for the tenth season.

Deadline Hollywood reported Sunday that Lopez and her representatives are trying to negotiate a multi-project film and television deal with Fox that would include her taking on an "American Idol" judge's role to the tune of $12 to $15 million a year.

Representatives for "American Idol" and Lopez did not immediately respond to ABCNews.com's requests for comment.

"Idol" could give the singer/actress/branding diva a much needed career revival. Her star quotient has diminished since her late '90s/early '00s heydey: Lopez's latest movie, "The Back-Up Plan," flopped at the box office earlier this year and in February, she was dropped by her longtime record company, Sony Music Epic Records.

Lopez could join Aerosmith frontman Tyler at "Idol's" judge's table. E! News reported last month that the Aerosmith frontman had finalized negotiations to join "Idol."
