Jinger Duggar Is Courting Soccer Player Jeremy Vuolo

— -- Jinger Duggar has moved on to a new phase of life: The fourth-eldest daughter in the Duggar family is courting soccer player Jeremy Vuolo.

They met last May and have already traveled on mission trips together.

"It was there that I really saw his heart and really admired his character," she told People.

"I was initially friends with Ben Seewald and Jessa [Duggar Seewald], and it was through them that I got to meet Jinger," Vuolo added. "We are very excited to begin this journey together."

Courting is the way that members of the Duggar family date. Patriarch Jim Bob Duggar has said it involves "both families spending time together and the couple setting goals together to determine if they are meant to marry."

"Courting is getting to know each other in a group setting," he explained. "With dating, a couple will often pair off alone, and that sometimes leads to a more physical relationship."

The relationship will be featured on the family's TLC series "Counting On" this summer.
