Justin Bieber Apologizes 'To Anyone I Have Offended' For Honoring Notorious Shrine
"I love you China and I love you Japan," he wrote.
April 23, 2014 — -- Justin Bieber has apparently learned his lesson.
During a trip to Tokyo earlier this week, the Biebs stopped at the Yasukuni Shrine, then tweeted an homage to the shrine.

Only problem was that the Yasukuni Shrine was founded in the late 1800's and honors more than 2 million Japanese who died in combat from the Boshin War in 1868 through the end of World War II. But it also honors convicted war criminals that are categorized Class A -- crimes against peace -- stemming from mass murders across Asia during World War II.
After Chinese fans urged Bieber to take his positive tweet down, he did so and posted an apology on Wednesday morning.

"While in Japan I asked my driver to pull over for which I saw a beautiful shrine," he wrote. "I was mislead to think the shrines were only a place of prayer. To anyone I have offended I am extremely sorry. I love you China and I love you Japan."
