Katy Perry Celebrates Her 32nd Birthday With Shout-Out to Hillary Clinton

The singer used her birthday as an opportunity to urge fans to vote.

— -- Katy Perry celebrated her 32nd birthday by voting early.

The "Rise" singer, who has been campaigning for Hillary Clinton, went to the polls on her birthday Tuesday dressed in an American flag coat. She later shared on Instagram a video in which she posts her ballot

"Gave myself the best birthday present ever by voting today!" she wrote alongside the video.

Perry also wished Clinton, her fellow "Scorpio sister," a happy birthday a day early. Clinton turned 69 today. And the singer urged her fans to celebrate the Democratic nominee's birthday by voting early.

"Wish @hillaryclinton a Happy Birthday tomorrow with your EARLY vote," she wrote, along with the hashtags "#HBDTOME #HAPPYBIRTHDAYHILLARY #SCORPIOSISTERS."

Over the weekend, Perry traveled to Las Vegas, where she met with students at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with a heart and the words "Nasty Woman," she told young potential voters to stop making excuses and vote.

"You have to be present," Perry said. "This is an election that counts."
