— -- After taking a look at the GOP's tax plan, "The Daily Show" host Trevor Noah said he thinks the president is trying to buy America's love.

Donald Trump is such a divorced dad,” Noah said on Monday night's show. “He spends the whole year golfing and breaking promises then thinks he can buy our love with one big present.”

“I hate you, president dad,” he added.

The president and Republicans in Congress are working to pass a tax bill before Christmas.

“Corporations get to pay less forever and poor people get to pay less for four years then more, which sounds bad but it's fine because once Obamacare is repealed poor people will all be dead,” Trevor joked. “Pretty convenient average Americans won't see the tax hikes until after the next elections.

“How can they expect people to vote before people know what they're getting? It’s like having to rate your Uber driver before you get in the car,” he added.
