— -- Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are back on track after splitting in August 2013.

In fact, their relationship is better than ever.

"I'm crazy about her," the actor told Ellen DeGeneres during a visit to her talk show. "We're back, stronger than ever."

In 2013, Douglas, 70, and Zeta-Jones, 45, split for a short time. However, just a few months later, the actor announced that their relationship was improving.

"I think every couple has their difficult times," he told DeGeneres. "The only problem is, as you well know, we're all in the public eye and it tends to get a little more exposed than most."

One reason that things worked, he said, was because they were both committed to fixing things.

"It can't be a one-way street," he said.

The Hollywood couple have two children together. Douglas will next be seen in the thriller "Beyond the Reach," out Friday.
