  • Growing Pains Where Are They Now

    If you're a child of the 80's, you tuned in every week to spend time with the Seavers on "Growing Pains." The hit ABC sitcom followed the adventures of Dr. Jason Seaver, a psychiatrist and stay-at-home dad, his wife Maggie, a reporter, and their three kids -- Mike, Carol, and Ben. Almost 20 years later, the cast is back together for a reunion on "Good Morning America" Wednesday.

  • Growing Pains Where Are They Now

    Andrew Koenig, played Richard "Boner" Stabone, the goofy best friend to Kirk Cameron's Mike Seaver. Kopenig largely dropped out of the spotlight after he left "Growing Pains" until February 2010 when he went missing in Vancouver, B.C., and was discovered dead, having taken his own life, at 41. "We were all so heartbroken and very," Joanna Kerns aka Maggie Seaver told "GMA."

    Alan Thicke's character Dr. Jason Seaver (far left), was one of the first in television characters to play a stay-at-home dad. Jason often struggled to juggle family disputes alongside his practice as a psychiatrist, while his wife Maggie, played by actress Joanna Kerns, worked as a journalist outside the home. The theme of women going out to work while men stayed at home become more common in the mid-1980s, when the show was created.

    Twenty-three years after the premiere of "Growing Pains," its theme of balancing family and work is still relevant. Unlike most other TV shows, the "Growing Pains" theme song, "As Long As We've Got Each Other," had nine versions, including a Halloween-themed song that aired in 1990.
