At left, a classic winter scene sweater. At right, a swan sweater that, while loud, may be too tasteful for a holiday sweater. The antlers, a common holiday-sweater accessory, complete the look.

"Brother bear in his Christmas vest," writes Candace Timmons of this very special sweater. A small tree, not a common holiday-sweater accessory, adds a jaunty note.

Wearing a Christmas sweater with a skunk and a cat on it, Jason Yormack still manages to grab all the attention. "A bunch of us worked at Microsoft, and one of the guys thought it would be funny to go to a secondhand store, buy some ugly sweaters, and go to Sears for a photo shoot," said Yormack. It became a hit in his community, and not only that, it became a hit online. "To this day, my photo is #2 on Google image search for 'ugly Christmas sweater'! It's been pretty amazing how it's stood the test of time!"
