    Nestor Carbonell ("Richard") and Mark Pellegrino ("Jacob") fight in a scene from "Lost." Jacob is a mysterious figure who was born on the island. He is ageless and possesses supernatural abilities. He is also the fraternal twin of the Man in Black. Richard was brought to the island as a slave in 1867 is an intermediary for Jacob and those brought to the island.
