Opening Aug. 6, "Pineapple Express" is the latest sure-to-be-a-hit comedy from Seth Rogen ("Knocked Up," "Superbad"). It tells the tale of slacker stoner Dale Denton (Seth Rogen) and his drug dealer Saul Silver (James Franco), who find themselves on the lam after Dale nervously dumped the rare strain of weed called Pineapple Express at the scene of a murder he inadvertently witnessed. The paranoid pair run for their lives as the bad guys hunt them down to kill.

This pot-based action-comedy is in league with other marijuana movie hits, which have proved themselves to be successful summer offerings.
