Canadian-born actor William Shatner, 77, played Capt. Kirk on "Star Trek." Shatner played Kirk from 1966 to 1969 and also starred in seven "Star Trek" films. Since the show, Shatner has gone on to play attorney Denny Crane on "Boston Legal," a role which won him two Emmys and a Golden Globe award. Shatner is currently hosting "Shatner's Raw Nerve," a celebrity interviewing series on the Biography Channel. "I don't want to back anybody into a corner, but if I probe gently enough so that I don't get too vivid a reaction, I get what I'm looking for," he told ABC News. Shatner was reportedly not invited to "Star Trek" co-star George Takei's 2008 gay wedding, an exclusion Shatner decried in a rant on YouTube. Takei denied the accusation, saying Shatner was invited but chose not to come. (Getty Images)
