Following reports of extramarital affairs, Tiger Woods posted a statement to his Web site Dec. 2, 2009, admitting to "transgressions." "I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves," Woods said in the statement. He added, "I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves." According to Chicago Sun-Times columnist Bill Zwecker, Woods and wife Elin Nordegren have begun "intense marriage counseling" sessions at their home several times a day.
