'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story': Highlights From International Trailer
Hint -- There's more Darth!
— -- The latest international trailer for "Rogue One" was released earlier this week and it adds a few extra elements to what we've already seen.
In the onset of the clip, Felicity Jones' Jyn receives a special necklace from her mom, as she says "Trust the Force."
It's not clear if her mother was a Jedi or just a believer. We later see Jyn holding and gazing at the crystal necklace years after receiving it.
More of what we already know about the mission to steal the plans for the Death Star is shown, but we also get to see the weapon getting tested in its early stages of development prior to being fully functional in "A New Hope."
Jyn's father leaked the message about the weapons test, and we know that the movie will focus on the rebels stealing the plans for the Death Star. These plans will eventually help Luke Skywalker to destroy it after the events of this standalone film.
"If my father built it, we need to find him," Jyn says.
Finally, we've seen glimpses of Darth Vader in earlier clips, but we get an extra one here at the end.
