Classic Film 'Overboard' to Hit Big Screen Again
"Laverne and Shirley," which made its debut in 1976, will be remade. The television show starred Penny Marshall as Laverne De Fazio and Cindy Williams as Shirley Feeney, roommates who worked in a Milwaukee brewery. The remake of the show has a surprising writer onboard, comedian-actor Jamie Foxx. Jennifer Garner and Jessica Biel and are set to play Laverne and Shirley, respectively. "Jamie and I are trying to do it," creator Gary Marshall said. "He's writing it. It's a whole different modern take on how they came up on the streets during difficult times.
