Despite Split, Jewel Celebrates Fourth of July With Husband
The couple announced last week that they were getting a divorce.
— -- Jewel announced via her blog last week that she and husband Ty Murray were divorcing after almost six years of marriage.
"My husband, friend and partner of 16 years and I have decided to get a divorce," she wrote. "Ty and I have always tried to live the most authentic life possible, and we wanted our separation as husband and wife to be nothing less loving than the way we came together."

That didn't stop the "Foolish Games" singer, 40, from celebrating Independance Day with her husband and son Kase, who turns 3 this week.
"Happy fourth everyone! @typbr Kase & I enjoyed the parade here in CO. Send pics of your weekend!" she wrote next to a cute pic holding her son, next to Murray.
Jewel and Murray, 44, married in 2008, but even with the planned divorce, the singer added on her blog that they would do everything in their son's best interest.
“Our dedication to our son is unwavering and we are both committed to being the best partners in raising our son. Due to the spirit in which we have gone about this separation, we trust we can remain dear friends who hold each other in high esteem, which is so important to us as parents -- as we wish only what is best for our son,” the couple added.
