For certain celebrities, the Academy Awards was a family affair.
From Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio to 9-year-old "Room" actor Jacob Tremblay, here are some of the stars who brought family members along for the big night.
Leonardo DiCaprio, who finally took home the award for Best Actor after five nominations, brought his mother to the big show.
He said it was because when he was growing up in east Los Angeles, his parents took him to auditions every day after school.
DiCaprio described himself as an "overly ambitious" child who had his heart set on becoming an actor, and it was his parents who "listened to a young child's dreams," he told ABC's Robin Roberts on the red carpet.
"And I could never be more thankful," he told Roberts.
"Room" actor Jacob Tremblay took his parents along for his big night at the Oscars.
The adorable 9-year-old posted this photo to Instagram on their way to the theater.
Michael Fassbender took his father, Joseph, to the award show.
Chris Evans brought two siblings -- his brother Scott Evans and sister Carly Evans -- along for the exciting evening.
Carly said Chris was an "annoying" little brother when they were growing up. "He did all the little brother things," she said, according to People.
But Chris said Carly "was a bit of a bully," People reported.
