October 5 -- Brace yourselves: yet another '70s show is being brought to the big screen, the quintessential cop-buddy actioner Starsky and Hutch.

Ben Stiller is attached to star as, apparently, Starsky (the brunet one, who was originally played by Paul Michael Glaser, for you TV-impaired types), and also produce. No one has been announced for the role of his blond partner, Hutch (played by David Soul on the 1975-79 original series). Perhaps Stiller need look no further than his current partner in comedy, Owen Wilson, who co-stars with him in Zoolander and the upcoming Royal Tenenbaums. After all, Wilson is blond, and, more importantly, the chicks seem to dig him.

As to who could play flashily dressed informant Huggy Bear, we've already been through this when George Clooney's named popped up (improbably enough) to play Starsky two years ago. Chris Rock or Chris Tucker still seem as good a choice as any for the role, although now that we mention it, 7 UP pitchman Orlando Jones also comes to mind.

Road Trip director Todd Phillips is now on board to develop and direct the project for Warner Bros, and writers are currently being auditioned, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
