August 16 -- Oscar-nominated actress Kate Hudson is suing her former personal assistant, claiming that the woman secretly spent $63,000 of the actress's money on herself.

Margaret Miller, who worked for the Almost Famous star from July 1999 to March of this year, according to court documents, allegedly spent the princely sum on limousines, hotel rooms, clothes, plane tickets, beauty treatments, and other personal expenses, often while Hudson was out of town.

Hey, as David Spade would say, it's not as bad as being shot with a stun gun by your formerly trusted assistant. Is it?

Ben Affleck was reportedly similarly defrauded by former celebrity financier Dana Giacchetto, whose client list at one time included such A- and B-listers as Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Cameron Diaz, Heather Graham, and Ed Burns. Giacchetto is now serving a 57-month sentence and has been barred from the investment business.
