July 19 -- Citing a family emergency, sultry actress Famke Janssen has dropped out of her role in Men in Black 2.

The X-Men actress, who was set to play the alien villain Serleena opposite Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, dropped out after just one day of shooting, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Replacing her will be Lara Flynn Boyle of ABC's The Practice. We imagine there'll be some serious costume adjustments to account for the differences in height and build between former model Janssen and the oh-so-thin TV actress.

Boyle's filmography includes the indies Happiness and Afterglow.

Men in Black 2 also co-stars Johnny Knoxville of MTV's Jackass as a two-headed alien and Josie and the Pussycats' Rosario Dawson as the (apparently human) love interest of Smith's Agent J character.
