Cage and Presley Are an Item
July 11 -- It appears to be official: Nicolas Cage and Lisa Marie Presley are dating.
The Oscar-winning nephew of Francis "The Godfather" Coppola and the daughter of Elvis "The King" Presley appeared together before the press for the first time today as Presley presided over the opening of Presley Place, in Memphis, Tenn., Entertainment Tonight reports.
"I think he would have been very proud," Presley told ET, referring to the new center, which is a transitional housing facility designed to help homeless families get back on their feet — not to her new boyfriend.
The two have been dating for three months, according to US Weekly, and were spotted at an art exhibit in Los Angeles last week.
Cage, who's practically made a career of impersonating Elvis in films like Wild at Heart, Snake Eyes, and Honeymoon in Vegas, was previously married to actress Patricia Arquette. Presley recently ended her engagement to singer John Oszajca, who would have been her third husband. Her second much-speculated-about marriage, to pop singer Michael Jackson, lasted only 18 months.
